Meet the team

Experienced, detail-focused, and committed to delivering the highest standard every time.

Luke

Founder & Barber

Luke is the founder of Culture Newcastle and has been building the barbershop for over three years. He trained at the highly regarded SB Barbering Academy, a prestigious academy where every Culture barber studies and develops their skills.
Before opening Culture, Luke worked in barbershops across the North East, from Darlington to Newcastle city centre, refining his craft and shaping the standards that define Culture today. Watching the shop grow into a recognised part of the Jesmond community has been a proud moment, and the atmosphere inside reflects that - good music, high energy, and a team that enjoys the work.
Outside of the shop, Luke spends his time at techno events and immersed in car culture and motorsport. A keen car modifier, he hopes to bring this influence into Culture as the brand continues to evolve.

Nat

Barber

Nat has been part of Culture Newcastle since day one. He trained at SB Barbering Academy, graduating as the top student - a reflection of both his technical ability and his positive approach to people and the craft.

Since joining Culture, Nat has continued to develop his skills, growing in confidence and creativity behind the chair. He thrives in the relaxed, supportive environment of the shop and enjoys working with a wide range of clients, using their ideas to push his barbering and create individual, tailored cuts.

Outside of work, Nat is rarely standing still. He’s a long-time season ticket holder at Newcastle United, a regular at raves across different scenes, and, when he’s slowing things down, a familiar face in his local Nando’s.

Bobbi

Barber

Bobbi joined Culture Newcastle after being recommended by Nat, who recognised his strong technical ability and natural confidence behind the chair. After completing his training and Levels 2 and 3 at SB Barbering Academy, Bobbi stepped straight into barbering in Newcastle and quickly found his feet.

Known for his constant smile and positive energy, Bobbi plays a big part in the welcoming atmosphere at Culture. Having known Nat for years and regularly attending matches together, joining the team felt natural. He values the relaxed vibe of the shop and the strong personalities that make Culture what it is.

Before barbering, Bobbi worked across different industries, an experience that helped him appreciate the freedom, creativity, and enjoyment that comes with the trade. Outside of the shop, he spends most evenings on the football pitch, playing on both astro and grass for two teams, and celebrating the wins when he gets the chance.

Jakub

Barber

Jakob joined the team after completing his Level 2 barbering qualification, working part-time while finishing his Level 3 before progressing into a full-time role.

Introduced to Culture through a friend, Jakob was drawn to the environment from day one and quickly felt at home in the shop. He enjoys working in Jesmond, where the young, style-conscious crowd brings variety, creativity, and good energy to every day. The relaxed team dynamic and strong atmosphere make Culture a place he’s proud to be part of.

Outside of the shop, Jakob keeps things social and active. On his days off, he’s usually catching up with friends, taking the dog out, or keeping busy however he can. His music taste leans towards rap, though he’s recently developed an appreciation for drum and bass since joining the team.
